Dr. John Walton, author and professor of Old Testament studies at Wheaton College, will be in Fort Worth to explain his understanding of human origins through both science and Scripture. You are cordially invited to attend this event on Saturday, July 8.
At the end of this month, at Saint Andrew’s Church in Fort Worth, will be the first Choral Evensong coming out of the choir’s summer break, and a very special one at that!
Our own chorister and composer Christopher Wilson has been penning a complete setting for an Evensong service for several years, the “Preces and Responses” of which the choir took to perform in Salisbury Cathedral in the summer of 2013.
On August 31, at 5pm, the Choir of Saint Andrew’s will present Mr. Wilson’s Evensong setting in full, with a premiere of his “Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis,” a new anthem setting of “Ave Maria,” and a new Psalm setting.
The choir is very excited about this coming Evensong, and we dearly hope to see you there!
Reserve a table now for an evening of food, wine, and romantic melodies as soloists serenade guests over a homemade dinner, served by members of our choir. Space is limited for this unique and delightful event, so make sure to reserve your place at the table soon!
(A nursery will be provided upon request. Please indicate any food allergies or non-alcoholic preferences at the time of booking.)
