Do you have a computer or smartphone? Do you have photos, music or financial information on your computer that you don’t want to lose, or have someone steal? If you lost your phone, would you lose family photos that cannot be replaced?
Join us for a Computer Security seminar. We will discuss threats such as ransomware, viruses, and phishing schemes that are designed to separate you from your data and your money and steal your identity. We will share the steps you need to take to protect your computer and your phone from computer threats and scams, based on real life experience.
The seminar will be held on Saturday, November 12, from 10:30 to 12:00. We’ll meet in Duncan Hall. The seminar will be lead by Candy Heath (Assistant US Attorney) and Van Neinast (IT Department head for a health care company). There will be lots of discussion, and a number of computer security related door prizes. Bring your friends and family members – this is information everyone needs!
