The annual Diocesan Churchwomen’s Fall Congress on Saturday, October 3 was a huge success. Close to 60 ladies from twelve parishes and missions joined together for Eucharist, song, prayer and fellowship, followed by an excellent talk by Love Heart Ministries, Abilene, TX on living out 1 Corinthians 13- the greatest of these is love.
Thanks to Barbara Mills, event coordinator, and also to our vendors, Christ the Redeemer for hosting the event, Bishop Iker for celebrating with us, and all the women who came to make it a memorable day. I cannot think of a better way to end my four year privilege of being the DCW Cabinet President.
We welcome Sharon Hadlock as our new president. She has already hit the ground running and is busily planning our next Fall Congress Oct 1, 2016. Ladies, you will definitely want to put this on your calendar!
This program is open to all and free of charge. Each session covers different content, and each includes time to learn and practice movements for improved strength and balance. Please encourage others to attend and, if possible, RSVP to Fr. McCrary before the first session.
